24 Hour Reality

On Wednesday, September 13, 2011, an international event led by Al Gore, former United States Vice-President/Founder and Chairman of the Climate Realty Project, was held to
highlight the climate change crisis. Al Gore encouraged people from around the world to join hands to create “24 Hours of Reality”. In the invitation for this event, Gore indicated that the overarching goal of the event is to focus the world’s attention on the scope, scale, and impact of the climate crisis facing our planet. The 24 Hours of Reality is also seeking to inspire global action to solve the climate crisis.

24 Hours of Reality began at 7 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, September 14. It was reported that, over the course of the day, there was twenty-four (24) presentations across twenty-four (24) time zones in thirteen (13) languages and one (1) message. In the final hour at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Gore presented.
